Okay guys.. now the journey is over for me. I finally got my physical cards in mail. for some reason I never got CPO email/text. All I got decision and post decision emails. Since it had been couple of weeks since decision I was getting uneasy (because of no CPO).. but I got physical cards in mail today !

I would advise not to go for your landing. At this point you need to make a decision whether you want to pursue canadian GC or US GC. If you have applied for 485 then it best that you not do the canadian landing. You may have issues when you come back to US. They may ask you why you went to canada and you cannot lie and have to tell them the truth. This may raise questions on your intent to pursue US GC. It all depends on your luck as to who you get the IO. I have heard of a case where a person got RFE on 485 after completing the landing.
If you still want to do the landing then you should be prepared for RFE or NOID on your 485.

One last question: Let's hypothetically say that I do decide to land and somehow manage to get back into the US without any issues using my AP. USCIS should seperate North Indians and South Indians - We are soooo very different anyways ..... Different language - different look - different food ..... That way all of us North Indians will get our GC sooner :D

They almost always take some kind of FPs. What I mean is that there are 3 biometrics codes. Code 3 is the most comprehensive, where they take your photo, signature and all ten fingers FP. Check your notice in the upper right corner, there should be a box that says "Code".
I got biometrics notice today. Will they take FP also on the same day or Will I get another notice for FP?

got approvals for wife and myself today
PD Jan 22 2006.
Infopass on Aug 3rd said everything is good to go.
opened SR no.1 for primary on aug 4th, was told cases were assigned on aug 3
Level 2 cust service said cases pre-adjudicated.
Reply to SR no.1 was standard - wait for 30 days.blah blah.
Congressman inquiry said cases assigned to officer.
opened SR no.2 for dependent on Aug 19.
i think the Aug 19 SR did the trick.

Guys,
It's almost 3 weeks today since I've opened SRs for my self and my spouse for not receiving FP notice and we haven't got any notice yet.
I want to know if some one who opened a SR for FP and did not receive any FP notice after the wait period expired, what did you do? Is taking an infopass the next step for missing FP notices or just wait and watch?

My Wife's & my AP expires on 11/16/2008 and she is coming back to the States from India on Sep 9th 2008, I'm assuming her I94 would be only issued till 11/16/2008. We are then planning to apply for EAD/AP renewal , that is, after Sep 9th 2008 and my question is what is she doesn't get her renewed AP approved before 11/16/2007 (which again I'm assuming would be the date on I94 valifity) and would that make her out of status? I hope this helps

Also, it is hard to trust a mainly Indian set up. The Indian contracting companies have set a very shameless level. I told my friends that IV appears different but it is hard to change your opinion when you see something else 10 times a day.
I apolozie to the sensitive Indians if I this is breaking news. But this is the general feeling and a reason for hate in the blogs: where there is smoke there is fire. It is embarassing.

Apparently somebody else attended his telephone interview. Talk about breaking FAITH i have built all these years. He doesnt trust Indians anymore. Who is to be blamed here???

Talked to my lawyer today about the checks; they have been encashed for myself and my spouse on 9/4. My RN starts with SRC.
My I-140 was approved from Texas and my AOS/485 was mailed on july 2nd and arrived on july 3rd to NSC.
Just a curious question for those you have already received their RN#. When checking the case status it displays "I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS "...will this message change when EAD has been approved and mailed?

I don't think there is a specific age where they will taken finger prints. Read my story.
My 15 yr old was the first to receive the notice. She was not in US at that time. I called the USCIS and informed them about this. They said they will postpone the appointment. But the postponement was only for 2 weeks. With the next notice I went to the local office. The security officer gave me a print out stating that I visited there for this reason. AND ACCORDING TO THAT NOTICE, FINGER PRINTING CAN BE DONE WITHIN 64 DAYS FROM THE ORIGINAL NOTICE. My child came back to US in 60 days and I took her to the local office walk in date. He got finger printed.
The very next week my 9 yr old got the notice. I took another appointment and next day I got a second finer printing notice for my elder one again. I took both of them to the local office and explained the situation. For my second child they did the finger printing and for my elder, they made a stamp on to the latest notice which was not at all clear.
Me and wife was never requested for a second finger printing. We all just got GREENED on August 6th.
