From this, if we assume ~4000/day, it ll take 20 working days to clear july 2nd filers (~80,000). My guess is by 31st Aug.

I've no problems you or anybody else challenging me--we're all (mostly) scientists/engineers here, so making assumptions based on observations, and challenging them, should be the first step toward creating a hypothesis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_method). But science seeks evidence for those assumptions. Staying clear of traps like fallacies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallacy) should help.

Hi guys,
Did anyone noticed that 2nd july filers who got their RNs have not got any LUD(s) on their approved I-140 :confused::confused:
Mine is EB2, reached July 2nd at 7.55 AM Fedex received by Robin Williams at NSC and I got the check cashed and has receipt numbers but my I140 LUD is not changed. But my I-140 was already approved and it was not concurrent filling. So if its not concurrent filing then I think I140 LUD should not change or not related to 485 receipt notice? Am I right?

SRC is always Texas , LIN is Nebraska. Also when you input the receipt number in USCIS case status website it tells you which center this application is with.
I understand that. What I wanted to know was what number you have? SRC or LIN? And also to confirm, if it was cashed by TSC? and not the case that it was cashed by NSC and then scheduled to be transfer to TSC?

I totally agree. I am almost fed up with this process for good. Once 180 days are over, I am switching jobs to advance my career. I have made a decision to return to India or go to Canada in case GC does not work out. Came here as a student in '97, PD EB2 India March/2005 and I am almost at the point of 'to hell with this charade'.

I did not land yet. Planning to give away canada PR. Its too much of risk being on AP/EAD. I have too many things on stake in US like Home, Nice Jobs for me and my wife..don't want to risk all that.
As it is i don't think I will ever settle in Canada, i had applied at a time when my US labor was stuck in backlog for almost 5 years but now things have changed and if i ever have to leave US I think I will go back to my home country; as it is after being here for 8 years I don't have energy to start all over again in some new country.
What have you decided? do you know the procedure to get landing fee back?

I think the point raised by nousername is valid. Out of three people applying for fresh h1 only one gets it through lottery. H1 is only intended for fulltime job. After one fulltime job you can have multiple H1 for part time jobs. So if a person without a job offer is selected through lottery then it is unethical. It's not legal in H1 status without proper wage. So it is always desirable to apply H1 when you have a concrete job offer where the employer is willing to pay as soon as you apply for H1.
